Leaning In

Another day, another update!

Online Worship Gathering

Have you ever wanted to go to church in your pajamas? Well have we got a deal for you! Brew up your favorite coffee, grab a poptart, pull up a computer/tablet/smartphone and join us this Sundays at 10am for songs, worship, and time in the word. There will be time each week just for the kids! It is a blessing that while the coronavirus keeps us separated we can still join together for worship! Also, this is a great time to invite a friend or neighbor to church. The online platform we are using will give us a chance to connect via chat, take prayer requests, and experience worship together.

Community Groups

With news coming out yesterday of the White House encouraging no groups over 10, we canceled in person community groups for the next two weeks. Matt and I will be working with community group leaders to talk about ways to take these groups online as well. We will update you when we know more.

Opportunities During the Week

We can’t choose what is happening around us, but we are going to lean into as much fun as we can have together via the interwebs as possible! There will be stuff for families, kids, adults, and adults who act like kids! The best places to find these things will be on our Facebook page, so keep an eye out there!

Prayer

Keep praying! I just got off another call with Judge Gravell. There are a lot of hard decisions being made. The first responders in our area are going to be stretched. Our medical professionals will have tough times ahead of them. Keep praying!

FIRST ONLINE COMMUNITY EVENT!

On my water bottle, right above a sticker of Michael Scott yelling, are some simple words, “Poetry isn’t the worst.” These were written by a good friend, Tanner Olson. Tanner is a spoken word poet whose art goes by the name Written to Speak. We would love to invite you to join us in Tanner’s living room (virtually of course) tomorrow night as he shares some poetry. It starts at 7 on Facebook. Matt and I will be sitting watching with our computers to have chat and discussion on a brand new Narrative Facebook Group: Narrative Online. Message me on Facebook if you can’t find it! Tanner will make you laugh, make you think, and give you hope by pointing you back to Jesus. He is great for the whole family!

Join us tomorrow night as Narrative Church has its first completely online event!

Continue to love God and love others. Live the story of Jesus!

Check out one of Tanner’s…not so serious…poems! Listen for a cameo from our own Matt Doering!
